Project Background
Funded by The European Commission in conjunction with The Ministry of Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional affairs, Oxfam in collaboration with PEN and Peacenet implemented the “BE HEARD” Sikika Hasa campaign for National Cohesion and Integration.
This was after several attempts of Peacebuilding, National Cohesion and Integration in Kenya following the 2007 general elections had failed.
Outputs:
- Informed Non-State Actors’ (NSA) institutional and technical capacity to facilitate community communication needs, priorities and desires in peace building and policy formulation and implementation.
- Ensure credibility of NSAs to demonstrate good governance practices assuring integrity influence and promotion of national cohesion and integration.
- More representatives, open and accountable networks provide members with credible platforms for better coordination and collective engagement and advocacy in the areas of peace building and policy formulation implementation.

The project took 23months. Between October 2010 and September 2012.
