Project Background
(CAP YEI) CAP Youth Empowerment Institute implements a 3-4 months Basic Employability Skills Training (BEST) Model. The training targeted vulnerable out-of-school youths who have completed primary and secondary and are between 18 and 25 years of age.
The Objectives:
- Understanding the labor and market opportunities for the youth i.e. the old existing, (viable and saturated) and potential new unexplored prospects, either because they are new upcoming or because they are not typically female
- Discerning and/ or understand what skill sets are in place and what new ones are needed for the youth.
- Identifying challenges and opportunities (including skill gaps) facing the youth
- Making recommendations for programming in relevant areas of intervention.
Duration:
The project is still ongoing, but the study conducted by Breinscope Consultants ended.
